What to expect

Kakulas Brothers is not a supermarket. The shop is arranged the way grocers arranged themselves in 1929: bulk bins along the walls, hessian sacks on the floor, spices in open trays, and coffee roasting in the back room.

You can buy as much or as little as you need. A hundred grams of saffron threads or five kilos of almonds. A single piece of haloumi or a tub of olives. There is no minimum spend and no mandatory packaging. Bring your own jars, bags, and containers, or use ours.

The staff have worked here for years. If you do not know which rice to use for paella, which flour for sourdough, or which coffee blend suits your machine, ask. Someone will know.
